Wow. My list is incredibly long. Like so long I am not sure where to even begin!
I'll do these two books since they are part of a series.
The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han
Some summers are just destined to be pretty
Belly measures her life in summers. Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August. Winters are simply a time to count the weeks until the next summer, a place away from the beach house, away from Susannah, and most importantly, away from Jeremiah and Conrad. They are the boys that Belly has known since her very first summer -- they have been her brother figures, her crushes, and everything in between. But one summer, one wonderful and terrible summer, the more everything changes, the more it all ends up just the way it should have been all along.
It's Not Summer without You by Jenny Han
Last year, all of Belly's dreams came true and the thought of missing a summer in Cousins Beach was inconceivable. But like the rise and fall of the ocean tide, things can change--just like that. Suddenly the time she's always looked forward to most is something she dreads. And when Jeremiah calls to say Conrad has disappeared, Belly must decide how she will spend this summer: chasing after the boy she loves, or finally letting him go.
Why do I want these? You know, I'm not sure. They honestly sound pretty cliche but I am one to pick up the cliche and still absolutely love it. I guess it has something to do with the whole aura of the books. Curiosity more then anything. I can't even tell you how many times I've went to the store and almost picked the first of the series up but with having the newly implemented book budget (which actually started a year ago) I always found myself picking something up. THAT has got to stop.
So What Are You Waiting On?!
(Don't forget you can click on the covers of my two chosen books to see their Goodreads page!)
You know they may sound a little cliche but they still sound like they'd be great reads. I know I'm interested now :)
ReplyDeleteYou sound like me. I was in the store today and sure I have no money but I was taking books for a walk down the aisle. I knew I couldn't get them but old habits die hard. I even talked to my hubby about putting myself on a book ban. He raises his eyebrow and then laughes when I added "Well I'll need to figure out which month doesn't have any books I want and that'll be the month I'll ban myself" Intent is key ;D
Thanks for coming by and supporting me. Also do you still have NetGalley questions?
The books sound great! I know how it feels - to want books and not being able to buy them. I recently bought a huge amount of books and now I can't!
ReplyDeleteI like reading cliche too sometimes...it's just what I'm in the mood for!! :) Plus I like to see if something may sound cliche, but then ends up being a surprise find too! Let us know how it goes!!
