Waiting on Wednesday (5)

Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine.  It is a great way to draw attention to those books not yet released but well awaited.

Here is my Fifth Edition of Waiting on Wednesday!

Thought I'd skip ahead a little this time, again.  Starting a little late in the blogging game some of the soon-to-come releases have already made their rounds.  So I thought I'd shed some light on one of my picks that I have on my calendar.

On March 15, 2011 look out for ......

The Return: Midnight by L.J Smith
The Vampire Diaries: Return #3
Releases March 15, 2011
Published by Harper Collins

The Vampire Diaries series has sold more than three million copies in North America and has inspired a hit television show that averages five million viewers per week—and fans continue to flock to L. J. Smith’s novels about love among vampires.

The powerful final volume of The Vampire Diaries: The Return offers readers the kind of romance, danger, and paranormal chills that they know only L. J. Smith can provide. In Midnight, golden girl Elena Gilbert is back from the Dark Dimension, having successfully freed her vampire boyfriend, Stefan Salvatore. Saving Stefan had an unlikely consequence: His brother, Damon, has become a mortal. While the trio reels from this latest twist, they must also deal with the demons that have infiltrated Elena’s hometown. Midnight takes Elena, Stefan, and Damon to their darkest moments yet....

(Synopsis *kinda* via Goodreads)

I am a total Vampire Diaries lover.  I must say I do love the television show BUT I love the books more.  These have been some of my favorites since forever and when L.J Smith picked back up with the series those around me heard an annoying but shrill *eeek.*  I can't wait for this one!

So, what are you waiting on?

  3. I actually liked Nightfall better than the original four books, to be honest ... it was weird, but definitely more interesting! :) I never read the second one, but I might once this third book is released. I must say that I don't get the show at all, lol ... it's SO slow and nothing much ever seems to be happening :o

  5. I'm looking forward to this one! The show doesn't really follow the books at all outside of the character names, but I still look forward to it every week because I've been a fan of Damon from the first book:)

  9. I haven't read the books but I watch the t.v. show loosely (being a Degrassi fan, I had to support Mia (Elena)). The show is really pretty good and I've been thinking about reading the series. If I get them, it will be after this novel comes out. Thanks for sharing!
