  17. I am really grateful that this holiday break I am going to Santa Fe. My family recently moved there, and I've heard that it's absolutely beautiful. I am also grateful to be able to spend the holidays with my family, since I don't get to see them that often.

My new favorite book is The Children's Book by A.S. Byatt. I would absolutely recommend it. If you want to read my gushing review filled with way too many adjectives and not enough critical thought, it's on my blog:
    http://readingwhilefemale.blogspot.com/2010/12/childrens-book-by-as-byatt.html

  19. Thanks so much for the giveaway and chance to win

I am thankful to reciev my new kindle from my loving hubby who is sick of tripping on the boxes of books in our bedroom. My bookshelf is full and my overflow is currently cluttering up our room. I'm not supposed to know he got me a kindle, but he overlooked the small details that I am the one who checks the e-mails and accounts. So when an e-mail arrived with a receipt for recent purchase it was me who opened it LOL

I recently came across Gennita Low's Virtually series: Virtually His, Virtually Hers and soon to come out Virtually One. I love this series and here is my review for the second book in the series, Virtually Hers

  22. This Christmas, I am grateful to receive TIME with loved ones. Without going into a long, sad tale, there is nothing like the loss of a loved one to show you that the best gift in life is the time spent with those who matter.

I truly recommend John Green's winter collection of stories (with Lauren Myracle and Maureen Johnson) "Let It Snow". It's fun and funny and a bit magical. Love this time of year!

    Thanks!

  57. I'm grateful to receive thoughtful, personal gifts. Sometimes people feel like they have to give something elaborate, but I'm happy when someone gives me a mug and my favorite kind of tea or a gift card and a book light. It means people notice what I enjoy, rather than getting me something that makes me question whether they really know me or not. +5

A book that I recommend is The Piper's Son by Melina Marchetta. It's being released in March in the US. It's powerful, funny, and beautifully written. The characters pop off of the page and it's hard to close the book and let them go. +5
