Book Blogger Hop (14) + Follow Friday (13) + Week In Review

It's Follow Friday!

This is Follow My Blog Friday, a weekly meme hosted by hosted by Parajunkee's View!

Follow Friday Question:

What books have you discovered lately from someone's blog?

Actually, Ladybird Ladybird by Abra Ebner over at GReads!  There were more... a whole browser tabs full but it seems as if when I tried switching through it decided to freeze up and *x* out before I could add them on goodreads.  hmph! But, def, Ladybird Ladybird stuck out to me

Book Blogger Hop Question:

What book influenced or changed your life? How did it influence/change you?

I think this is a hard question.  There are SO MANY books out there that have just one line that strums a chord with me... brings back a familiar or lost emotions, opens my eyes to something else, or makes me grateful for what I had.  If I Stay by Gayle Forman is an intense book and it really gives you a look into how easily you can lose everything you know and that your world centered around.  That book reminds you that each moment is really precious.   Sing Me To Sleep by Angela Morrison is pretty intense as well, another book that makes you appreciate every moment you have.

How About You?

What is new this week?

On the Blog:

Check out my new 'page' The Fab List!  This will be a recurring and ongoing set of lists.  Just my way of putting my two cents out there the fab way!  The first of many lists just so happened to be my 2010 Release Fab List.  So take a look at that if you have a chance!

Also, I posted my first Whatcha Think About Wednesday.  This week's question I asked you about was about Hype and Reviews.  If you missed it, don't worry you can still go read and/or comment!

ARC Review:

Timeless by Alexandra Monir received 5 stars from me
[here is a snip-it from my review]
"...Timeless is truly a timeless tale which Alexandra Monir vividly brings to life two different times and a connection that can't be denied.  This is a book which doesn't bring today's fads into the forefront making it a fabulous read now and twenty years from now. "

This Week's Notable Releases:

Unearthly by Cynthia Hand |My Review|
Awakened by P.C Cast + Kristen Cast
Shadowspell by Jenna Black
XVI by Julie Karr

  7. This will probably come of something as a surprise but the book that changed/influenced my life (more than any other) is a non-fiction book. I know we all focus on novels and the fanciful fiction we love to read but The Four Work Week is the book that gets all the credit. I know the title sounds fictional but it really isn’t. Hop over to my blog and find out why – http://www.howardsherman.net

    Happy Book Blogger Hop Day!
