Waiting on Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Breaking the Spine. It is a great way to draw attention to those books not yet released but well awaited.
Here is my Thirteenth Edition of Waiting on Wednesday! This is something I decided to do only every other Wednesday to make room for my new feature Whatcha Think About Wednesday. Because of this, I have decided to give each WOW a theme and to show you at least two books.
Waiting On Wednesday: The Harper Teen Edition
Sixteen-year-old Laurel's world changes instantly when her parents and brother are killed in a terrible car accident. Behind the wheel is the father of her bad-boy neighbor, David Kaufman, whose mother is also killed. In the aftermath of the tragedy, Laurel navigates a new world in which she and her best friend grow apart, boys may or may not be approaching her out of pity, overpowering memories lurk everywhere, and Mr. Kaufman is comatose but still very much alive. Through it all, there is David, who swoops in and out of Laurel's life and to whom she finds herself attracted against her better judgment. She will forever be connected to him by their mutual loss, a connection that will change them both in unexpected ways.
Jennifer Castle’s debut novel is a heart wrenching, surprisingly witty testament to how drastically life can change in the span of a single moment.

In which a girl must grapple with the sudden emergence of otherwoldly powers and the repercussions of resurrecting her dead boyfriend.
Waiting On Why: I know that is not much of a synopsis, but the title and cover alone swayed me to go in search of something more. IF I find it, I'll post it. Otherwise, note this as one of my many books I MUST OWN this year.
Deadly Cool by Gemma Halliday

DEADLY COOL, in which a sixteen-year-old finds out that her boyfriend was cheating on her with the president of the chastity club; when she goes to confront the cheaters, she finds the girl dead instead and now must solve the murder.
Waiting On Why: Beyond that totally flawless cover who doesn't like a good romance-gone-bad story topped with a murder mystery?
A Few Other Books You Must Add To Your Goodreads Shelves Are....

Why: Because Forgive My Fins was the cutest, funniest, Mermaid book that made me want a mer-dude of my own.
