What's to come in 2011... Meme's, Features and Something New

So I figured with the coming of a new year I would make some adjustments to my blog.  Nothing big just some small stuff.

Here is what it is looking like so far...

Monday- Review
Tuesday- Review

Wednesday- Whatcha Think About Wednesday
                      Waiting on Wednesday
Thursday- Review
Third Degree Thursday (a.k.a. Booking Through Thursday)
Friday- Follow Friday + Book Blogger Hop
Saturday- Flippin' Backwards
Sunday- On Fab's Doorstep (a.k.a In My Mailbox)

Weekly
Every Other Week
Every Two-Three Weeks
Dependant on Time Constraints

Does this make sense to anybody?!

Unfortunately for my blogging and reading life I do have an outside life which I must, and willingly, attend to.
For me to participate in every weekly meme would just be insane.  I'd never get any reading done.
I am not the most eloquent writer nor am I quick at it, though I do try and enjoy it.  Writing one review can take me several hours.

I also have another Feature called Flip-It-Forward I'll be throwing in there hopefully about once a month, the day will be whenever I come up with one.  I'm also going to have a continually running FAB LIST that I'll squeeze in there from time to time.

On top of all of that you'll have hopefully more author interviews, contests/giveaways, blog tours, newly discovered or other fun memes, and other bookish type of posts.

So I'm hoping to have at least 3-4 posts a week.  I want to keep everything fresh and interesting.  I don't want to fall into a sad pattern of meme after meme with nothing in between.

Did you notice the Whatcha Think About Wednesday?
It's a new feature I will be starting the first Wed. of the year.  I've always had a thing for discussion posts, like many of my fellow bloggers do, although I usually miss them by a day or two.  Still being a new blogger there are so many things I have yet to even discover, talk about, or read about.  So I figured I'd ask a question on a topic and then hopefully some of my readers will give me their input as well.  I'll include a form so people can put in ideas for discussion posts.  Hopefully this will be fun for us :-)

So, I guess you can call this my Blogger's New Year Resolution.  I'm putting it in print :-)

Do You have any Blogger New Year Resolutions?

  1. Sounds like a great plan :)

I will be looking forward to your new feature -- I love reading discussion/topic posts.

I think the biggest resolution for me this year will be to try and read more for myself; I've scheduled myself fairly tightly with reviews and such the last half of this year, and some of the fun has gone out of my reading as a result.

Hope you enjoy your New Year!

  2. I love that you're adding discussion posts! It's something I'm going to buckle down and do this year, too! You have such a great plan here, and I'm looking forward to seeing it! :)
